Este vídeo es el registro del proceso de un proyecto artístico que plantea preguntas sobre el acto de fotografiar. Se recalca la presencia de la artista como sujeto activo que fotografía, graba y camina, así como objeto, registrada por medio de una app que graba el recorrido en directo vía GPS. El vídeo está compuesto por diferentes capas; analiza y plantea preguntas sobre la mediación entre sujeto-objeto, la hipermediación para con el dispositivo de registro y la remediación respecto a su estructura.

This video is the register of the process of an artistic project which suggests questions about the act of taking photographs. It highlights the presence of the artist as an active subject who takes pictures, records and walks, as well as an object, recorded by an app that tracks the tour live by GPS. The video is composed by different layers; it analyzes and questions the immediacy between the subject-object, the hipermediacy towards the recording device and the remediation regarding its structure.

 

• Statement

Mis prácticas artísticas toman como punto de partida el contexto para desarrollar acciones o situaciones que acontecen en el espacio público. Utilizando la deriva como herramienta, me sumerjo en un proceso creativo que parte de una idea/situación real. El peso de mi trabajo reside en el proceso y no tanto en la obra como producto u objeto final.

 

I develope my artistic research using the local context as the starting point to produce actions or situations that occur in the public sphere. Using the dérive as one of my main resources,enables me to immerse in a creative process that parts from reality itself. The focus of my work resides in the process rather than in a final object or result.
