El fuego: que crea y destruye, y supone tanto inicio como el fin.
En la imagen podemos ver el proceso de transformación de la materia a través de la magia, y en el que se desvanece una silueta -la del artista- como inicio y fin de una realidad. De nuevo el fuego. Que arde. Que purifica. Que ilumina. FUEGO.

Fire: that creates and destroys, and is both the beginning and the end.
In the image we can see the process of transformation of matter through magic, and in which a silhouette -that of the artist- fades as the beginning and end of a reality. Fire again. That's hot. What purifies. that illuminates FIRE.

 

• Statement

David Vila es Doctor en Bellas Artes, miembro del Grupo de Investigación Figuras del Exceso y Políticas del Cuerpo de la UMH, profesor de escultura especialista en Fundición de Bronce, y Performer empedernido.
Ha participado en numerosas exposiciones y festivales tanto nacionales como internacionales en la que muestra sus investigaciones en torno a los procesos identitarios a través del cuerpo como material de trabajo y soporte fundamental.

 

David Vila is a Doctor of Fine Arts, a member of the Figures of Excess and Body Politics Research Group at the UMH, a professor of sculpture specializing in Bronze Casting, and an inveterate Performer.
He has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and festivals in which he shows his research on identity processes through the body as work material and fundamental support.
