/ The pandemic does not allow us to see the forest,
2022
  • Description

The use of COVID-19 by governments and the media, as a smoke screen that hid or overlapped other events (economic, geopolitical) that were taking place, is a clear example of media manipulation of society.
We are not able to see what is happening around us, since they bombard us with the news that interests them and that they want us to see.
Until recently a pandemic that now seems non-existent, currently the war in Ukraine, which also seems to dissipate...
They always have a tree so we can't see the forest.

My work is developed in several facets. Drawing, installation, photography and performance. All these plastic languages are the ones I use when developing my work, which has a deep social character. I understand art as an awakening of consciences. The ethical prevails without losing the aesthetic character of art. I approach the performance as one more resource when it comes to elaborating the plastic work. From the actions there is always a "plastic" object, a drawing, a piece...
Actually any work of art is a residue of a creative action. In the case of my work as well, but that action is in a certain way dramatized through a performance, giving more meaning to the work itself.
