Queda belleza en el paso subterráneo para peatones en el que jugaba de niño. Volviendo a él después de décadas de distancia, esta acción encarna mi sentido de amor y honor por su presencia única, y por mi copia infantil de El príncipe feliz de Oscar Wilde de 1968 (el año en que nací), ilustrada por el artista checoslovaco Ota Janacek.

There remains beauty in the pedestrian underpass that I played in as a
child. Returning to it after decades away, this action embodies my sense
of love and honour for its unique presence, and for my childhood copy of
Oscar Wilde’s The Happy Prince from 1968 (the year I was born), illustrated by Czechoslovak artist Ota Janacek.
